S.D.S.N. Degree College was established in 2006 by untiring efforts of Shri Jagjivan Prasad and his wife Smt. Rajkumari. The College has its own vast campus situated in village Chhota Bharwara, Railway Crossing. It has a convenient approach and connectivity from Gomti Nagar and from Chinhat. The main objective of establishing this College was to provide higher education to the students in least fee and to bring revival in the girl’s education according to the present changeable atmosphere. Girls are such a unit of this changing society who can show their indispensable co-ordination in progress and can reach at the top in the society. Another objective of this College is to make students better citizens by inculcating the virtues of self-discipline, self confidence, social Service and humility.

Principal’s Message

S.D.S.N DEGREE COLLEGE, Chota Bharwara, Near Sahara Hospital, Gomtinagar was established a decade ago in 2006 as S.D.S.N. Mahila Mahavidyalaya in the rural part of the state capital to provide higher education to the students of the vicinity and city. Later on the demand of Public of the area, in the year 2013 the college became coeducation institution and since then it is known by present name. Over the years a committed and supportive management, dedicated faculty member, caring and cooperative parents have blend harmoniously to create a student centric college that foster a conducive environment for the holistic development of students to inculcate capacities, acquire subject knowledge, virtues of self discipline, self confidence, social service and humility to society. The aim of education should be to teach the students to think, not what to think. I strongly believe vision with a dream as J.A.Baker has rightly said’ Vision without action is just a dream, Action without vision … just passes the time, but Vision with Action…changes the world. We have taken a completely new turn in blooming up the education system of the college by striving for the excellence in every possible field by ‘Goodness before Greatness’ through care, creativity and love to instill the desire to learn

Over the years of my teaching experience, I have realized that if the fertile soil of the mind is enriched with the values of love, kindness and patience, the sapling of good education and character will grow into a strong tree and bear good fruits

Students seeking admission in the college would find in a congenial atmosphere of studies and learning through qualitative infrasturcture, activities and encouragement from faculty members with unflinching support in growing and marching ahead in all avenues of social, emotional, physical aesthetic and intellectual development to metamorphose them into a good citizen in every walk of life with honour and respect.
